Hardware
This page lists almost all the devices and services that Domoticz can connect to. This list is curated by the community, so it may not be complete. Not all supported devices have pages on this wiki. In that case have a look in the Domoticz forum. Please help grow this list. Also, have a look at the Scripts page, which also offers other ways of integrating hardware and services into Domoticz.
To install hardware you first have to install the Hardware Gateway (Setup -> Hardware) and then modify the separate devices (Setup -> Devices)
The developers have created a Python plugin framework which allow other developers to easily create an interface between a piece of Hardware (or Virtual Hardware) and Domoticz.
Devices that are not supported by the build in Domoticz Hardware but by the Python plugin framework can be found on the following page: Plugins

How to add a device to this list
Please add the name of the device or service, and if relevant, through which gateway-device you were able to connect to it. It would be great if you could create a wiki-page that explains the steps you took. You don't have to mention all the steps of getting the protocol/gateway to work on that page, that information should be gathered under the Integrations and Protocols part of this wiki. Please refer to those pages if you think its reasonably safe to assume that the device will continue working with new versions of those gateways. For example, it it works with bluetooth now, it will probably keep working in the future.
If you have a device that is not supported you could lend it to the developers of Domoticz. Please provide us with either:
- Your device (please contact us before sending, we will ship it back), or
- Donate a device to us, also please contact us before doing so
You can also open a topic on the forum to discuss about the product.
433 MHz devices
The two most popular ways of connecting to 433Mhz devices are through the RFXcom and the RFLink gateways. It is impossible for the developers to own all hardware that is supported by RFXCOM / Z-Wave / others, so this means that some devices are supported by RFXCOM / Z-Wave, but not yet supported in Domoticz. If you are able to get a device working, please also share through which gateway you managed this, by adding it in brackets after the device name. Examples are the RFLink, RFXtrx433 and/or the RFXtrx433E.
To get your device supported in Domoticz, we need:
- In case of 433Mhz device with RFXCOM: RFXmngr screen dump (copy-paste text, not a screen dump)

Z-Wave.Me UZB Z-Wave Plus USB stick
If you are going to buy a new usb stick, buy a Z-Wave Plus model because they will support all Z-Wave Plus and non-Plus devices.
DO NOT unplug the USB sticks while Domoticz is running or it will crash.
If you want to include nodes with the Aeotec sticks, turn off the Pi before removing the stick.
Also you sometimes need to be persistent when including a node fails for the first time.
Sometimes you need to try many times to include a node before it will work.

The Z-Wave Plus devices might not work with the Aeon Labs S2 stick with Domoticz version <3.4834.
(Dimmer confirmed however to work with Aeon Labs V5 stick and Z-Wave.me stick).
To get the additional switches of Z-Wave Plus devices working you need to add the node in several groups. See the forum.
All Qubino dimmers can dim very low power LED lights without any bypass as they do not require a minimum load.

Zigbee
Various large brands are now selling Zigbee devices like light bulbs, switches and sensors. For example: IKEA Tradfri, Philips Hue, Xiaomi / Aqara, Trust, Heiman, Osram, etc.
Domoticz does not have native support for Zigbee USB-dongles (Zigbee Coordinator) but there are plugins for Domoticz that can connect to various Zigbee Bridges/Gateways/Hubs/Controllers that in turn can connect to and control Zigbee devices.

IP-networkcameras
This page will give you an overview of IP-cameras that users have reported working with Domoticz.
Please mention the brand + type of your camera and also the URL to the image.
If you want to try if your camera works, a lot of settings for different brands of cameras can also be found here: http://www.ispyconnect.com/sources.aspx
Please only add the devices which are really known to work!
General security warning
When connecting the IP-camera to your network, be sure to put a username and a strong password on your IP-camera if you have it opened up to internet, otherwise you might end up at http://insecam.org/
Block internet access to the camera in your router if you don't want to have it connected to the internet.
A fast way to achieve this is to leave the 'Default gateway' field in the camera empty. By doing this it will only have access to your local LAN and no internet access.

Grabbing snapshots from RTSP-stream with script based on 'ffmpeg'
Cams that spit out a RTSP-stream (Real Time Streaming Protocol) won't work in Domoticz.
With this script you can grab snapshots from a RTSP-stream. It uses 'ffmpeg' to open the RTSP-stream and grab a snapshot from it.
You still can't use it directly in Domoticz, but if you want to grab a snapshot when the doorbell is pressed for example, this script will do so (outside of Domoticz).
Workaround for getting RTSP-based cam to work in Domoticz (through Synology NAS)
Cams that spit out a RTSP-stream (Real Time Streaming Protocol) won't work in Domoticz.
However, if you have a Synology NAS and have the cam working in the Surveillance Station package, you can use this script. It grabs a the stream from the Surveillance Station package and spits it out as a JPEG-image.
You can then use this in Domoticz, because the PHP-script mimicks itself as a JPEG file. The conversion of the stream is done by the NAS. Pretty clever huh!? ;)
LoRa
At time of writing, Domoticz does not support LoRa devices directly but through the TTNMQTT hardware module. Using The Things Network and its network of LoRa gateways, IoT devices can send their data using LoRa radio technology and the TTNMQTT module will read the data using the MQTT facilities from TTN.
